Hello ! Please help, so I bought super light air dry clay just as needed, and I'm on the part where I need to make the two big strands (the white ones), The chromosomes aren't sticking to it and it also won't bend, do I have to wait for it to harden a bit ? Whenever I try bending it, it breaks ):

Now I am sure that you have clear idea about this clay...So what can you do now? 1) Outer both (white ones) strands should be thick than inner pieces..otherwise when you turn them they will break...and please keep in mind inner all pieces (bases) shoud be dry+colored first competely...Now make outer strands and then put all inner pieces into strands and make ladder like structure (outer strands not completely dry they should be flexible not dry..If they too much flexible wait for 5 mintues....Then gently bend them with your hand not with force and hold them where you want until they dry...use fan heater or hair dryer after bending structure...it will dry very quickly and DNA shape will maintained after dry..((Use glue if they can't sticks with outer strands))...Very soon i will upload an other DNA model...I think this one is not easy because of clay....So don't worry

It could be stand but this is not easy to make...if we want to make 2 feet long then phosphate back bone (main outer white strands) should be very thick ,so they can pull weight against gravity..otherwise it will fall down...2 feet DNA model is also not easy to rotate at 360 degree due air friction and its weight..

Hello ! How many packs of air dry do you need and is light air dry clay different from super light ? My light air dry clay ends up with cracks )): What do I do ? Also, how much time did it take for your clay to try so you can cut it off smoothly ?

For this DNA model you need at least 2 packs or 3 are best..It also depend on its size. (air dry clay ) is different than (super light air dry clay ) Air dry clay mostly get cracks when it dry but Super Light does not ,when it dry its weight becomes light like a foam that why it is called super light air dry clay..It dry within 15 to 20 mintues in open air..use fan heater you can dry it in 10 mintues... For cracks = fill the clay in cracks and paste thin layer of white/wooden glue on upper surface and leave it for dry...hope so no cracks will be show after dry

You mean DNA model base?...its simple plastic pot have light weight and inside it you can fix battery ,Switch and moton regulator/dc varaible resistor...|| Outer white strands are also made out of same clay i.e.( Super light air dry clay)..Do not think complex you can fix it by using cardbord box etc..

How do you connect motor, battery and motor speed controller all connections....???? Can you tell please...

Simply: 1) Connect positive (+ve) terminal of battery with +ve terminal of motor, and negative (-ve) terminal of battery connect with one end of switch. 2)Now ( -ve )terminal of the motor connect with any end of speed regulator either its +ve or -ve..so don't worry. Remaining one end of speed regulator connect with the last end of switch.

Dear @Ahmed Mughal, Total were used 4 white packets, 2 in outer main spiral bends and 2 were in inside in nitrogen bases i,e. A,T, G,& C. you can buy 5 total white packets & I hope your model will complete. it's available in market with name Air dry light weight clay. just search out on internet and it comes in small packets as shown in video. Different types of clay behave different ways...drying time,cracking,weight after dry etc... For this model use super light air dry clay it is very easy to use just once try..After dry it's weight become light and easy to handle...Very soon i will upload an other DNA model in different method using wires and straws...hope so it will easy than this model..

Nice video but not true. We are on our 4th try for my son's school project. We need to add wires to the filaments....let dry or not is another question....not half as easy as it looks on this video...definitely the secrets are left out. I only wonder how many times he did this before doing the video. Look for another way....beads...popsicle sticks...styrofoam balls....
