For posable cosplay arms, consider feeding some thick alluminum wire, rolled and bunched up for strength. It might take some playing around to get it right, but it should help keep things steady and help out getting interesting and diversified shots at the conventions or photoshoots.

this was super awesome!! i’ve been slaving over plans for a cosplay im doing for a convention in september which involves robotic arms- i plan on 3-D printing each individual segment and threading them onto conduit, but i can’t seem to figure out a way to make the arms stay in place if i am to pose them (if that makes sense lol). i feel like my best bet would be either very thick wire or flexible coolant pipe. i’m totally up for suggestions if anyone has any :)

Chainsaws were originally medical tools actually. They were meant to cut bone more quickly and efficiently than a hand saw, the utility of this wasn’t lost on people and was then upscaled for use in wood cutting.

They have chainsaws at hospitals, dude. Amputation is a necessary thing sometimes. In fact, the original use of a chainsaw WAS medical amputation. They were hand-cranked at the time, and it used to be two words, "Chain Saw."
