Actually you people don't know any thing about electronics and electrical. first of all, there is no electronics used in this project. only 2 DC electric motors are used with a 12V DC battery. It is not dangerous even if you put whole thing under water.

your top motor is spinning the bottom motor, not the axis, I mean the whole motor. look closely 7:32 at the motor nearest to the water. so Im assuming there is a lot of tension now in the cables that go down to that motor. put some rubber between that motor and its bracket, metal against metal isnt a good friction hold. Good little project anyway

not really. some electric rc cars tell you to run the motor completely underwater to break it in, as it smooths out the brushes. the two poles are already connected with caps and resistors anyway.

+Easy HomeMade Projects A really useful idea would be putting an electric motor with a car battery onto a bike, some kind of a selfmade e - bike Another cool thing would be making your own hoverboard. Recently i have built one with 2 wheelbarrow tires, a plate of wood, some steel strive on the underside and 2 battery drills. The tires are mount in a hole in the middle of the "board", the drills are connected with bikechains to the wheels and i put some mini full rubber wheels for stability on both ends of the board. If you lean forward the drills start spinning, ive done that with a pressure sensor All things for this project i had at home, so i didnt have any costs ! And it is a really entertaining gadget :)

If these motors aren't special low rpm motors, you should think about using a smaller impeller. Otherwise the motors could overheat, because of too much current & too low rpm. But all in all nice project, I like the metal work and soldering! :)
