I have heard that the products sold under the FDA here in the US is worse. I'd like to see what you think. Here are the ingredients from a Mission flour tortilla package: enriched bleached flour (flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine, mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, vegetable shortening (insterestirified and hydrogenated soybean oils), contains 2% or less of: salt, sugar, baking soda, sodium acid pyrophosphate, distilled monoglycerides, fumaric acid, and calcium propionate, and sorbic acid (to maintain freshness). So what do you think on that list? I think I may try making some tortillas myself. ❤

Wow that is a long ingredient list and most of it seems so unnecessary. I hope you do try making your own and see how easy it is x

Oh my goodness , thank you so much for sharing this video and the words of encouragement because that is exactly how I am I feel like oh my how crap do they look , that’s not round enough etc. if I could ask you what size pan you used? And what number heat did you find best as I also have an electric cooker and one last question plse how long did you end up leaving the dough for 12 or 24 hours. Once again thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏xx

I’m glad you found the video encouraging 🥰 I have 10” skillets, I had the hob on the heat setting 3 and I let the sourdough ferment for 24 hours.

Loved watching you make tortillas! It is different every time. I make our own sourdough tortillas a couple times a month and we really love and enjoy it. It's worth the time. Citric acid as well as the iron is very bad. Most citric acid isn't really derived from anything citrus.... but black mold. That's just horrifying.
