The level of enthusiasm for this product in the comments is a kind of validation and also suggests a potential marketing path. It has been done at industrial scale based on commercially sold roti, but not at a household appliance level. Taking inspiration from this I converted my wet grinder into a roti maker by attaching to it frame with two rollers and a chapatti rolling disc in the mouth of grinder jar. It works fine ,saves time .Its fantastic for rolling poories.Many thanks for the idea. My improvisation saved making of the whole wooden infacture and a motor.

Thanks for the video! For me this seems to be the best approach to simplify the process, however the use of the plastic sheets which are a must in this case; seems not so user friendly. Just my humble opinion! But it's very practical to peel off the chapati! Some suggestions: 1. The roller or baylon should have a slight taper from centre to the bearing ends, maximum diameter at the centre. This is called crowning in the industry to keep things positively centred and not depending on chance. So builders will not get frustrated. 2. The sprocket wheel looks dangerous because it could hurt youngsters experimenting in a hurry. Use some other coupling device. 3. Using the polpat was so practical. Happy new year!

Very simple and very clever👍 As for the start/stop red buton, i wonder if it can be done automatically when lowering and lifting up the PVC bar on the dough. Also, if possible to make with PVC the whole thing instead of wood,. It would be lighter and easier to clean and healthier (bacteria free). Please advise how we can order. Wood cutting boards can be cleaned and sterilized by scrubbing them it soapy water with a little Clorox added. This was done it many kitchens I’ve worked in. Never had a problem with bacteria.

Industrial papad making machine like this are already available .It is a very effort to make one for domestic use . If we divide roti making process in 3 steps i e 1 .Atta gunthna 2 . Roti belna 3 . Roti shakna then the most time taking and tiring is roti belna . For atta making we already have manual atta maker . This device if produced for keeping domestic use in mind ,will be very popular .
