Multipes of 8 means ( 8 table ie 8+8+8+8....).You have to take base chain count in multiple of 8. After that you have to subtract one chain from total chain count. (8×3= 24-1,8×4=32-1....)hope u understand 😊👍

I tried counting to estimate. It looks like 16 to me plus the one on the hook, which really wouldn’t count as a stitch. But instructions said multiples of 8-1. Just guessing here.

@donnaclinton5578 only for 16 chain ( base ch ) you dont have to subract 1 chain, for remaining multiples of 8 you have to subract 1.for example ( 24,32,40,68,56......) All the 8 mutiples will be subtracted by 1
