i have a question; if i try to start a conversation with someone, and this person reject me, or say something like "im busy now", what should i do and how could i deal with it?

That’s a great question! And something we all will experience 🌟 Its how we react and let it affect us, which is going to determine how successful we are with our relationships with people but also life in general. Personally, I have studied journalism where the job description basically is to try to get people to talk to you and let me tell you - A LOT of people don't want to. If I then decided to take it personally and not talk to anyone else, there would be no story and I would not be a very good journalist. But I have learned that there are always people who want to talk - you just have to talk with enough people. So, to answer your question, you need to enter any conversation or meeting with the mindset that whatever happens in the interaction is not personal. People always acts in different ways because of how THEY are feeling. Are they feeling insecure, stressed or are in a bad mood -then they can come off as rude or mean, but it's not because of YOU. So personally, I would be polite and nice, before walking away to find someone else to talk to. Then when you find a person who is open and wants to talk, use the action plan from the video, and don't be surprised if the person you tried to talk to earlier or other people come to join the conversation. Since you look so invested in the conversation it kind of signalize that you are talking about something really interesting - which you are. And in that way becomes magnetic. Rejection can feel unpleasant, but when you learn to not take it personal, it really gets a lot easier! In my next video I’m going to talk more about how you can take this even a step further by creating an alter ego 🤩 Hope this was helpful 💖

@@siljeberge This is such great advice! Many of us who have social anxiety are afraid of getting rejected or unapproved in some way, and learning not to take these things personally is a great idea. But I have another problem: when I watch these videos about self-improvement, I tend to forget everything I learned from the person who's talking, and I never apply these tips to my own life because of that. How can I-and other people as well-remember these tips when it's appropriate to use them to grow and learn even more? Lots of these psychology concepts, emotional intelligence, and social skills are mostly learned by practice, so you usually have to rely on life's natural pathways, but i would prefer to have a planned and structured way to implement these concepts in my own life

@@ellesouza.g I am so happy to hear that! And this is a question I also can resonate with ❤ It feels kinda nice to consume a lot of content with good idea and ways to improve our lives. It can even feel productive, and I would say it is better than consuming negative content. But at the same time it won't make a change in our lives if we just treat it like entertainment. If we instead treat it like a part of our education, it's easier to actually implement it. Personally I like to watch videos as an introduction and then learn more about the subject through books. When I have a book I like to schedule time each day to read a chapter or two and highlight and take notes. The key is really just repetition and though practice as you said. I think we usually consume a lot of different content, so I also think it is important to focus on one subject at the time. If you want to learn more about let's say how to be better in a social situation, it would be better to just consume videos, podcast or books about this topic. It is so easy to want to improve in all aspects of our life right away, but that is not possible. It often makes us feel overwhelmed. If you instead try to implement one new concept each week, it will feel a lot more doable. Lets say you this week focus on giving people compliments whenever you see something you like about them, and next week you try to have a small conversation after you gave the compliment💖 There is no rush, and you can even start with just smiling more to people you see. Suddenly over time these things will feel like a natural part of who you are 🥰
