I cooked taro for my American 🇺🇸 mate from NY. Also made some raw fish and some luau with spinach cos we could find any taro leaves. He loved it. I found some island shop here now thanks to my Tongan friends in Sydney. ❤❤❤

@@kayleen8037 mafu is spoiled, soft is malū and dirty is palapalā. It just depends on the context in which you use the word. In this case when there's a rotten area on the taro, you'd use the word 'pala'.

This is 1 part of my 3 part go to's when I get the craving for island food. The 2nd part is lu'au (coconut cream n onions wrapped up in taro leaves) my son calls them Samoan Hershey's kisses coz of the foil their usually wrapped in 🤣🤣 Then the 3rd part which is the Main Event and it's a can of pisupo (corned beef) i myself prefer the brand PACIFIC to be sPACIFIC 😜😆😂🤣
