How to make Fish Trap with Bamboo

Since I am in Puglia and not far from the sea, I decided to build a Fish Trap using the bamboo that is located near the irrigation canals.

Thats so Awesome, my mum made hers just like that but with steal, to catch eels in the dams on the farm in NZ. Do you bait them, my mum use to use road kill or fire burnt opossums and it worked every time. I would love to try one of those in the sea. It's probably better than a cray pot.
