Watching you from Western Australia. I've known about the wine cork popers for awhile. Yours was much simpiler than other ones I've see. Will have to try it out in salt water for Australian Salmon. Keep fish.

I personally made one of these. EXCEPT, I put on a J hook instead of a treble, I put some color on with some sharpies. Also, with some flourescent beads and small nails, i pinned them on to give some flash and to simulate points like scales, eyes, spots of color, etc.

Great content. I've been creating cork lures for more than 60 years (count'em) ... with moderate success but always fun to make with the kids and their fishing buddies. Fish pond? Been there, done that and they're an interesting yard feature but my vote would be NO. A pond requires time and effort that might be better invested along the canal bank 😊. Plant a tree.
