@judith newme Absolutely not, don't keep the fondant figures / cake in the fridge. because the air in the fridge is wet. Fondant will get wet when taken out. Or you can keep indoor, during the day, and it doesn't rain, but it takes a little longer to dry. Alternatively, you can store the small fondant figures in a tightly closed box, and the fondant will remain elastic but not wet, just like when you made it. I use this method, when I make the fondant figures a few days before I make the cake, so when the cake is ready, I will stick the fondant figures and then I dry the cake that is ready to be delivered in the AC room.
