Is that wilton brand fondant? Also where did you get your pasta machine (or do you have a recommendation for a small machine for this purpose). Thank you so much for this tutorial.

You didn't explain how to make it shiny. Is gum paste shinier than fondant?! I like the video, but the title is misleading.
@irenemason54797 жыл бұрын
airbrush it with colour that has sheen thats what makes it shiny. No gumpaste is not shinier than fondant. Airbrushing is the go

I thought you weren't supposed to stick wires directly into your cake? Even with wired flowers you are supposed to use flower spikes.
@michigandeertrackers9 жыл бұрын
Angela Mansell When I make wedding cakes I will put wire into the cakes only if secured to the bow/flowers tightly. I strip off the "paper" on the wires...i think that it might come off when they pull the wires outand be left inside the cake! and I always tell me customers and caterers about the wire.
@Sakura-vp8vn9 жыл бұрын
littlemisshunter1 In the UK we are not allowed to insert wires directly into a cake due to contamination - they should ALWAYS be inserted into a posy pick first. The wires are not food safe - they are floristry grade & can deteriorate inside & contaminate a cake even if sterilised first. There is no need to use wires in bow tails anyway ... ?

:( used up data just so I could see how you got the sheen to your bow. Disappointed no replies to anyone's inquiries.

Looks like luster dust in painting consistency. You could also use steam to make it shiny as is with no color
@irenemason54797 жыл бұрын
The sheen on the bow is done by airbrushing, using a sheen paint thats what makes it shiny. I love airbrushing anything makes it look extra beautiful.

Bad Video. That's NOT fondant, its gumpaste and what is not told is gumpaste takes at least 5 days to a week to dry completely enough to use or decorate. Then you can put them on your cakes.

DJ Shanas I guess you now know it’s the opposite. Gum paste dries much faster than fondant
