What helped me the most were trains... Yes, trains. When here in Germany the "Deutschland-Ticket" was released (a pretty cheap ticket that you can go anywhere in germany with using public transport) I started to take my laptop and headphones and hop on a train on my days off and just go around germany producing on a train. There were lots of interested people that started talking to me. Most of them were just some chill guys while some were actual producers themselves. You need to be able to endure all those sideeyes especially from elderly people though

Back in 2016 i noticed here in Prague soneone was organizing a producer meetups. I never had producer friends before. I went there pretty nervous, but then I finally felt like I belong. There were people with the same passion. I could talk OSCs and LFOs in real life with people. ❤ Love it. Made some friendships there that last untill today. It just adds a whole another level to this hobby.

I started around the same time as a random girl I stumbled on and today she has 530 subs compared to my 12. (Don't get me wrong, I am genuinely happy for her) I may not be a cute anime girl but my music holds similar quality so it can really be offputting to see all though I try not to compare myself to anyone. And I feel so dirty when ever I mention my music anywhere to others so the whole "promoting myself campaign" doesn't really work which is why it truly hurt that out of 7 siblings, some relatives and then my parents there's only ONE who occasionally mentions and reposts my stuff (my closest brother with 90% less followers on social media than myself). I do really appreciate his effort which I always let him know but the struggle is insane is the point I am trying to get to.. =/ one note at the time I'm getting there, hopefully. Also, did you say your group of 5 people consisted of Skrillex and Deadmau5 at the beginning?? or was that merely about the top producers you stayed informed about? XD PS: you're probably also gaining this amount because people can sense you are a genuine, sweet, wise, humble, kind and surprisingly young talented guy ^^ many thanks for your work =)

Talk to people about what you do, and make a point to tell everyone your into production and you make music. After some time doing this anyone who knows you or talks to people about you will say "thats (name) He makes music" then those who do music will be interested to talk to you about music.

@@dalkont222 At 13 I was still playing with Lego, and playing video games, I did of course mess around with music software like dance EJ at your age but it wasn't until I was 21 in 2006 that I actually made anything that would be production. Your early in the game so dont be so doom and gloom, if You cant find other people then just do ypur thing and take advantage of being the only one who does music. Set your self up as the local music guy claim the position if nobody else is.
