One question i always had is, how to you precisely fold huge sheets? Do you lay down some heavy objects when you line up the corners to prevent it from slipping?
@OrigamiByBoice Жыл бұрын
This is a good idea. If you watch the "Giant western dragon" fold on my channel from a few years ago you can watch how I hold down a 3+ meter paper down with books to fold accurate enough.

Any advantage to the welding technique vs simply overlapping the paper ?
@OrigamiByBoice11 ай бұрын
When you start to combine 4 or more sheets together, the overlaps will all be the same thickness instead of it steadily increasing with overlaps. Also it enables you to make larger sheets than your available surface as you can weld one edge at a time

What measurements do you use to make your MC glue? When i make mine, its always thin and watery and my paper is never crisp and feels soggy and soft when its dry. It doesnt affect my folding, but i just wish my paper was more crisp.
@OrigamiByBoice Жыл бұрын
You should go wayyyy thicker then. Check the first part of the paper series where I explain my measurements. However, If you want crispy paper, use even more than I show in it.

Bro I really wanna meet you right now ! But I've got a problem could you help me a bit ? Bro first thing first what is mc liquid and why is it that important and second when I go to make a square from a big paper it all goes wrong no matter what I do could tell me what should I do than
@OrigamiByBoice Жыл бұрын
Hi! Make sure to check part 1 of the paper guide where I explain what MC is! That will also show you how to apply it correctly. If things are going wrong, it is probably due to you needing to keep practicing! Try combining smaller sheets together as practice so that you dont waste large sheets.

91x91cm. It was intentionally smaller than what I recommend because I wanted to make it harder for myself.

Hey! Thanks! Also, Which size of paper did you use to make the ryujin 3.5? I m using 60x60 cm fpr making ryijin 2.1, As my hands are small so it helps. I have practiced the scales and they are way small but not hard. Actually, Ryujins are easy. People just say it for actually shaping the scales, which i do not do, but it still looks amazing. People are too much less experienced haha 🤣
@OrigamiByBoice9 ай бұрын
I use 90cm but I don’t recommend it. Practicing makes folding it easy but whats hard about ryujin is making it look good. Many people use paper too small and the ryujin looks bad even though they can fold it. Don’t waste your time and use a properly sized paper. 120+cm
@MFHackerX9 ай бұрын
But mine looks good (and presice) The only problem is that my parents don't recommend me to do it with over a meter large paper. I have made every Part of it and learned to shape it, and it all looks good. That's why I am choosing it@@OrigamiByBoice. I cannot make a big paper as for now, but later I can. But it still doesn't matter, it's just a waste of paper, as you know, I'm the most eco-friendly origamist as much as I can. As always, I would like to be a member of this channel, but later. My exams are going on, So Sorry!
@bbharat307Ай бұрын
could you please tell how to get to your level.where to start as a beginner and from where to learn.thanks
@OrigamiByBoiceАй бұрын
Its many years to achieve everything I have done, but to get to a complex level of origami, fold as much as you can from Tadashi Mori and Jo Nakashima's channels. Use whatever paper you can find. Then save money to get a double tissue making set up like I show in my paper guide and get really good at crafting paper for yourself. Then try harder tutorials like from my channel and start learning crease patterns. Once you are confident you can fold any model easily, focus on making them look really good with shaping. And slowly after that start to learn to design from the Plant Psychologists channel.
