I thought the pH of soap should be around 5.5 to 6.5. Isn't the pH too high? It is going to be drying for the skin...

And why do you cure your soap?

@@jophiadiy Basically, if it is harsh on the skin because of pH. You would have irritation. I am not familiar with the term if adjusting the pH is curing the soap but it is best to have a lower pH to avoid skin irritation

You haven't answered the question. Why is a soap cured? Secondly have you seen a soap that is made with pH 6.0? When you know why a soap is cured,then you will understand your question and get an answer from it. Thanks
