I mean yes Baus's teammates didn't do as well as him but thats because hes on a champ that does well regardless and proxies with them. The proxy strat is a crutch strat that pretty much always results in a death but you farm and ignore the laning as a result. Now Spearshot may not have gotten the benefits of his death but the Kayn definitely did (Hence kayn's 22 kills) and as a result he also got earlier form. This of course resulted in Kayn turbo ganking the other lanes and skyrocketing the team's lead. Baus's strat often puts the burden onto his teammates. The champs he plays will always do well regardless of how much he feeds (with the exception of Gragas) He will always roam (like on quinn), Perma split (Illaoi, Sion, Rammus) and while he turbo inflates his gold, he also turbo inflates his opponents gold. (often the jungler). So his teammates are forced to deal with the baus's turbo fed top laner and/or jungler opponents while he continues to just do his strat on his own. Its not fun to play with the Baus on your team when he does that strat, and its not often fun for his lane opponent either. Its annoying for almost all parties except the Baus (and maybe the jungler who gets turbo fed off him, like this Kayn)

Right? I think the amount of hate he's been getting recently is just the result of people finally having had enough of it and frankly i can't blame them. I would absolutely hate having to deal with him on my team or facing against him. The latter not being as egregious as the former. He's probably a great guy, but his strategy is absolutely detrimental.

It is purely dependent on how team reacts on his playstyle. With baus on your team, baus will have negative bounty and you pretty much always has objective prio unless enemy ignore baus and proceed to 5v4 objective fight in which baus will just continue and destroy every turret bounties available and give free gold to his team. The meta is also botlane prio so you can feed your botlane and get free drakes while enemy jungler is busy camping a streamer in toplane. If botlane + jungle lose to a 3v2 fight then it is just team diff.

Funny thing is, after this patch that put in the ward gold, I got a mid laner that had locked camera levels of map awareness, literally zero, but they were pinging wards like the frame they were visible anywhere on the map and didn't miss skillshots... as a Xerath; weird. Would be funny if ward pinging was added to scripts, the only way I could explain the guy's aim, movement, lack of any actual awareness/knowledge, and cross map ward peeping. You'd think if they were just staring at the minimap looking for red/pink dots that they would see the 5th gank coming.

Its not helping that hes hard feeding gold to the rest of your team and hes the only tank on his team, so perma splitting griefs his team. Look at how many times spearshot roams to help his team and groups for objectives and setting up fights for his team. Lol he can easily get the most gold if hes perma splitting and high damage is pretty normal for a strong top laner constantly fighting.

Spear has a huge point in the end-game lobby. Deaths tell soooo little of the actual in-game story here. Most damage and most gold? If not for Viego, Baus practically was the carry.

Does he though? Damage: He's rammus. His entire concept is "You hit me? I hit you back" So when he has 3 AD champions whaling on him he's going to do a lot of damage. Gold: Look how many times he was off in lala land farming/pushing towers while his team was getting annihilated in teammates he wasn't in, because he was farming and getting gold. "If not for the carry, Baus would have been the carry" Yeah I guess you're right, If the person who was participating in every teamfight and taking as many objectives as he could wasn't there, baus would have been in the lead.

Spear I understand why you defend Baus but come on man, the guy ints every game. It doesnt matter how much damage he deals, he just makes the opposing carries stronger and harder to deal with for his teammates in the late game. And then you come and ask , why is there a 0 15 Annie? Dying strat works when you make enemies miss waves or lose time but honestly more than half of his deaths are just terrible. If you make enemy carries stronger, it doesnt matter how strong you get, anyone who builds correctly against his health or armor abusing champs like Rammus and Sion would destroy him.
