@@Prodbyvalley I've been mixing for 15 years and the most important thing I've learned is that once you know your tools, your ears are the only thing left to learn. True, there are different techniques that help with your workflow in different genres, but especially with 808s, it's best to just use your ears. Just listen to a good 808, pick a similar sample and EQ match the best you can. There's no tutorial that will train your ears better than practice.

@@Prodbyvalley my best advice is if it doesn't sound right, pick a different sample and try again. If your eq is too drastic and you have to use compression or saturation, you've already failed by picking the wrong sample.
