There is no use of pop board,no thermal insulation,no sound absorption more over its weight causes weight to soffit,gypsum is a natural source earth makes ceiling light weight and gives coolness lightweight thermal insulation and sound absrobing properties. Gypsum ceiling is the best choice.

Plaster of paris is already a concentrated gypsum which is not suitable for false ceiling,as the POP(Plaster of paris)board is heavy in weight and causes no screw retention which may falls any time on ground.
