Hibiscus tea is LOADED with antioxidants too! Nice job here! I think it is also called "flor de Jamaica" in Latin stores! Thanks for this video!
@soniarodriguez381010 жыл бұрын
Flor de Jamaica is made from a different plant (hibiscus sabdariffa) and they use the calyces, not the petals. I guess you could use the whole flower.. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hibiscus_tea)

Sonia Rodríguez This is Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis, which is also edible and can be used as a garnish in salads or in teas

What about washing off the flower? What if there were mites or bugs on it?
@larshaeuser8 жыл бұрын
If there are bugs or mites wash them off the hibiscus flower. Washing will not affect taste. Dan
@angelaguyton7138 жыл бұрын
I wash with salt and vinegar (fruits and veggies) and wondered if this would ruin the flower. Water may not be enough to kill mites or spiders.
@larshaeuser12 жыл бұрын
Yes sure, but then it is a bit more bitter. I don't know if it is tasty without sugar. And you get only the bright red color, if you add the lime juice. cheers lars
