Condenser microphone change capacitance based on sound and doesn't generate it's own voltage, so you would need a condenser microphone circuit for this to work. Also, the audio quality may be bad because it's an old microphone from an old telephone.

I'm tinkering with some electronics trying to make things go beep and I am trying to make a spring reverb with a small speaker and a button microphone like this and just connecting the wires to a audio connector is not enough. There's enough good tutorials on KZbin but it takes some time and skill if you really want to make something that functions. The plus side is that electronic components are cheap as chips, you don't have to go and open up old phones or headsets. You can buy button mics with a driver circuit board and pins for under $2 and a variety of amplifier circuits and speakers all under $5 !!! But there's a reason why some microphones cost $5 and some $1000. It's funny how all the comments say : good job, wow !, amazing and all that. Nobody tried it out? Why are they watching this then ? At least this video doesn't encourage people to put open circuits in the wall sockets 😂 💥

Yeah and those mics arent condenser they are dynamic i think because if one side you put your ear on and the mic goes directly near your mouth so i think it dynamic

@@alienbuddy9379 They used to use a mylar diaphragm and the vibration alters the capacitance, The last generation of landline phones did have dynamic microphones bet they are hard too find.

@@rayentrabelsi1935It’s just fucking white noise, barely any voice goes through lmao. I recommend using an audio enhancer and to add a membrane to make it sound a tiny bit better. buying a 20$ microphone would be WAYYY better
