Chemistry correction: salt water freezes at a LOWER temperature. So adding salt actually makes the ice want to melt but the phase change needs energy. So it draws that energy (heat) from the thing youre trying to freeze. So the salt effectively makes it like the heat the item goes into the salted ice.

To make it simple, I got a 3 ingredient ice cream recipe for you that you can make at home. Heavy whipping cream. (not too much, get ones like one of those little cartons) pour, then whip/mix with a mixer/whisker. ( I recommend the mixer) Sweetened Condensed milk, mix together with your now whipped cream. and depending on the flavor you choose, you can either use cocoa powder for chocolate ice cream or smashed up oreo chunks for oreo ice cream, etc. Once you put your flavor in the mixture, freeze it for 6 hours or overnight. Then once you freeze your mixture, you should get a all new homemade ice cream!
