For those wanting to know the rifle setup Barbourcreek uses their 6.5 Creedmoor rifle. Terminus Zeus action, Benchmark #5 barrel, Barbourcreek Artemis stock made by McMillan, Vortex bubble level, and a bunch of Nightforce SHV 2.5-20 scopes. They also use Trijicon Ten Mile scopes but they also test out various other companies products such as Swarovski and Kahles to name a few. They use Hornady ELD ammunition. It’s a fantastic shooting school. I can’t recommend it enough. Hopefully one of these days I can make it to level 2. They also sell their BC 1400 rifle. Multiple calibers available. Short actions typically use a Terminus Apollo action, long action models typically run either the Kratos or Zeus. 1/2 MOA guarantee at 1101 yards.

I took this course 2 years ago and it is amazing. You will leave with confidence to shoot out over 1000 yards. Last year I shot 4 does passed 400 yards all head shots. James is the real deal, and Tony who builds the guns knows his stuff. I speak to him regularly. You will not be disappointed

Been there and it's the real deal. Prior to going to Barbour Creek I was not confident in taking a shot much more than 200 yards. Now, with optimum conditions, I'm confident taking a 500 yard shot at deer. I'll be attending the advanced course.

I am all about long range shooting, and hunting- a few points to consider here. Wind, that is where the money is made, the challenging parts are: switching winds, winds that you can’t see, etc etc. lots of field experience required to get wind reads right. Second point as mentioned is the position when shooting, shooting off a bench is not really an option in the field, so getting comfortable with modified prone and all other sorts of positions is relevant. Finally, it’s impressive to hit a golf ball at 1000 yds no doubt, but I would be shocked to see them stack 3 shots on top of the same golf ball consistently. If you could do that with a hunting rifle, you should go win f class matches and other sorts of long range competitions. I am not trying to bad mouth long shots, I just think it’s important to realize the commitment to the craft required. All in all, sweet
