I don't use festival mix. When I am doing festival I do my own homemade mix, next time i am going to try it this way instead of frying it.

Me too. I make my own mix. I like the original shape of festivals though so was hoping I could make a stiffer dough, roll them and put them on a baking tray. Still gonna try that way.
