Thanks so much for this, it has been the clearest and most concise tutorial I have watched so far & I have watched a few, sigh. This has made it so much easier to get going and in a simple way showing how much you can achieve. Thank-you:)

Thank you for showing that loop technique! I had an aha! moment, when I saw how you wrapped the wire around. So much easier than what I have done in the past. Great video tutorial.

Thanks for the explanation on this subject. Since jewelry making is so brand new to me, I would appreciate your being very specific explaining gage and hole sizes of wires and beads and how to purchase the ones that go together rather than just saying use the ones that fit. Which gage wire better suits the dangles and which size head pins go with what size beads? Thank you.

Hello Ginger. If you will look in the description box under this video I have links to the suggested items. Honestly It all depends on what you want to create. And your budget. I would suggest that you go to a local craft store when they have jewelry items on sale and look for: Head pins I suggest 2 to 3 inch, flat on one end. Small seed beads and then mixed beads. Charms and if you want to create items like I did in this video then chain. You can also use old jewelry you may have or pick up at second hand stores. I don't use "wire" I use the head pin if I am stacking beads together to make a component. The beads range in size from 2 mm to 8 mm. It really depends on what look you are going for. the head pins are a standard size diameter, just the length varies. Here is another video I did making a different journal charm: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3yTpKycgJeArJo and here is another video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipmrfoKLYsabepI Hopefully that will help you get started. Thank you for watching. :)

Linda, have you seen the Beadsmith One Step Looper Tools? I bought one off of Amazon a couple years ago and love how it is so easy to make my wire loops for charm holders and earrings. They come in at least 2 sizes, and I bought the larger one. So easy and quick and always the same size loop which comes in handy when making earrings. Thanks for this video! Love your charms!

Hello, Sharoyn. No, I've not seen those. So they work pretty well? I might have to check them out. I think My mom would really like using one as she hasn't got the hang of making a loop. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Much appreciated. :)

I picked up the 3mm looper. I think I want the smallest one for the size I like to make. I'll have to wait a while to get the smaller one as it wasn't local. ;) Thank you for suggesting this tool.

Hi Linda, I noticed that you use Square as your business store. How do you like using it? And did you ever have an Etsy Shop? Great tips on making tassels.
@lindaisrael
@lindaisrael 7 жыл бұрын
Hello, Chrissie. I love using it. There are no fees for listing my items. Only a fee when it sells. (fyi I have a referral link that I can send and you will have no fees for the first 180 days up to $1000) I had an Etsy Shop and never sold anything. So I stopped using it and got my own website and the squareup online store. :) Thanks. I love making these things. Thank you for watching.

Hi Linda Israel, I have a square already, but I have watched a lot of junk journaling videos and people usually use Etsy. It is good to get input from others about selling crafts. I like how you use the bulk chain link. I have never tried that before. Thank you for sharing. Blessings!
