Keema chana and naan puri recipe
Ingredients:
For keema chana:
Chicken keema/ minced-400 gms
You can use mutton keema(goat)/ soya keema
Soaked chickpeas-2(soak in room temperature water for at least 7-8 hours)
Vegetable oil -2 tablespoon
Onion-1 big size (chopped)
Ginger garlic paste-1 tablespoon
Tomato-2 medium size (grated)
Turmeric powder-1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder-1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder-1/4 teaspoon
Kashmiri red chili powder-1 teaspoon
Coriander powder-1 teaspoon
Cumin powder-1/2 teaspoon
Sugar-1/2 teaspoon
Kasuri methi/ dried fenugreek leaves-1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds-1/2 teaspoon
Fennel seeds-1/2 teaspoon
Whole garam masala(Bay leaf-1
Cinnamon stick-1/2 inch
Green cardamom-2-4
Cloves-2)
Salt to taste
Recipe:
In a pressure cooker add 2 tablespoon vegetable oil on high flame. After few seconds on medium flame add whole garam masala, cumin seeds and fennel seeds. When nice smell comes out add chopped onion and fry for few minutes to get golden color. Add sugar when frying onions. Then add ginger garlic paste and fry it well. Add minced chicken and fry for few minutes on low medium flame. Add powder masalas and salt. Add grated tomato and stir all the ingredients for few minutes until oil leaves the pan. Then add soaked chickpeas and add 1/2 cup water. Stir it well and add kasuri methi. Close the lid and wait for a whistle. (** If you are using kadai then boil chickpeas before cooking). Switch off the flame after 1 whistle.(if you are using future cooker. Otherwise wait for 2-3 whistles).Wait until steam released completely.
For naan:
All purpose flour-2 cups
Yogurt-1/2 cup
Sugar-1 teaspoon
Salt -1/2 teaspoon
Baking powder-1 teaspoon
Lukewarm water-1 cup
Vegetable oil for frying
Recipe:
Add flour,yogurt,salt,sugar, baking powder in a bowl and mix it well. Add lukewarm water to make a soft dough. Add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil and knead the dough for 5 minutes then cover it and rest it for at least 30 minutes. Then make some balls and roll these like puri and fry these. Enjoy!!
