Hi, great video. Very educational, fun and enjoyable to watch. Thanks for sharing your recipe and your expertise. We just eat some Papad and we loved them, so much that we bought some. We were looking for how to properly cook them. You gave me all the tips and alternatives and then some more. Thanks again. ♥

Hi bhavna, Very nice video and very well explained. I have a question. For this khichiya papad, the rice flour that you are using , is this store bought? Because when i use the store bought rice flour( Deep Brand) , it seems my papad always always cracks while i keep them for drying. They crack terribly into very small pieces. I wanted to know if you are using fresh rice flour directly from India or the ones from the US Stores. Thanks in advance for your reply.

@gujjugal100 hey thanks for sharing this. My khichiya turned out great the next time i tried. I think i used to cook the dough for a long time. So I made sure and did not over cook my dough and the khichiya papad did not crack :) I was so excited when they dried without breaking and they taste even better. But i shall keep this tip in mind if I need to use it in future !! THanks once again :)

@khushboo1232002 i had the same issue and i tried this...just would like to share that in India, some people mix a little bit of sabudana in rice when they send it to get grinded...that provides a good bonding if your rice are old..so we can soak a bit of sabudana and blend and add to rice flour while making khichu.. my papads tutned out great this way..no difference in taste though..

if you want to save energy, time and material, put your ingredients in a microwave pot (spices, soda or papad kharo, 1 pot flour in 1 pot water), mix it and heat it covered in the microwave at aprox. 75 % power until it has completely changed its color and a medium conistency. stir it every 2 minutes to control the cooking process. When the dough is done put it in a kitchen machine and let it work with the dough hook until the dough has cooled down. Then roll 25 g pieces of the dough or press it and let them dry. for a different taste you can mix it with lentil flour or besan flour as u like. a cup with 100 g flour is ready in about 4 min! the cooking time depends on your microwave and the microwave dishes you use. for pressing i use a machine like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3zRppVmq89sjpo
