Man I don't know why people get so fussy about their food being killed. Like if you eat meat you should at least acknowledge that that's how it's done. How are they going to survive the apocalypse? Jk lol I appreciate you teaching us how to prepare crabs when they're live although idk if I'll ever really have to do it because I don't live close to the ocean. XD

What does tofu taste like?
@FutureNeighbor6 жыл бұрын
Mostly spongy and mushy. Not the best adjective, but it all comes down to how you prepare tofu. Quite popular in Asian dishes - if you have Chinese restaurants in your area - try Mapo Tofu... be a great dish to taste tofu!

Just made this minus mushrooms and it was DELICIOUS. Picked up a crab for $3 and used a premade Korean soup base (yes cheating I know) and it took like 10 minutes tops. On top of mixed grain rice amazing. Perfect amount of spice if you're not super good woth spice i'd say do half a tablespoon or if you want it more spice chuck in another tablespoon.

Ohh! Greetings! I wish to take a visit to Spain someday in the future! Heard too many good things about it from friends. Yes, I agree - sometimes not so pleasant to see how seafood (or live food) in general is prepared. But I think its worthwhile to share - helps you respect the food that you are cooking with. 🙃
@jinap32366 жыл бұрын
Paella has lots of seafood and it's probably prepared the same way...if the seafood is fresh and alive then it will obviously be killed for the dish.

If you are shock by this, never eat tasty seafood again dude 😂 because sea creature taste the best when they are cooked alive. If they have been dead for couple hour or days, taste a bit off.. and smells not good. You might getting sick from eating it.

@FutureNeighbor7 жыл бұрын
Oh! Aimie, this should be your food mission this month... Try buying a decent sized crab from a farmer's market and steam it at home! You will most likely not like the inner guts (mustard) as a first-time eater... but worth taking a small taste. But the white meat from the crab legs/body should be very tasty... 👍

Here in Maine we don't eat crabs with Old Bay Seasoning either! You'll find that begins in Maryland and heads South. People are going to hate me when I say that when we cook lobster at home they just go in headfirst and the lid goes on but they don't scream! It was a big long period of time when everybody said that Lobster screamed. They don't even have vocal cords or a voice box.
