You remind me of my Teta 🥰… I can’t wait to make this. I think my family also put split chickpeas in that same mix and sometimes I roll it in silverbeet leaves (I think it’s called Swiss Chard in America)when I can’t get vine leaves.

Thank you! Yes that is good too. A fun little tip; after making the chard rolls you can make a sandwich out of it with pita and add labne it is sooooo good.

Where I live, I am surrounded in the backyard by grape leaves and that’s where I get mine. I’m gonna try your recipe, Lebanese Delma because we make it different we had different spice in it and herbs and I just love your background. It’s so nice and cozy. God bless you, my dear.👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️

Yum even better with home grown grape leaves. If you haven’t made it before, just make sure to boil the grape leaves for 2 to 3 minutes until they are soft enough to roll and let them cool before stuffing them with the rice mixture and rolling them.

@@mahaslebanesecuisine I don’t boil my grape leaves. I put them in very hot water, a lot of salt just in case butterfly lay eggs on them or caterpillar and I wash them real good then I used them

Beautiful !!!! my aunt used to make it with the ground lamb or beef when I should add it and what kind of ground meat you recommended? My aunt used to add some Bahrat spice into the meat. Also, if I am using the leaves from the jar, do I have to wash them and let them dry? Thank you thank you thank you.🙏🌺
@mahaslebanesecuisine Жыл бұрын
Hello. If you are using the grape leaves from the jar yes you should rinse them and drain the water. No need to let them dry. Also, if you are going to make them with meat you need to add the ground lamb or beef with the rice mixture. I have a video on how to make stuffed grape leaves with meat I think you will find it helpful. Best of luck! Let me know if you have any more questions.

When you use Orlando in the states, do you have a trick for getting them out of the jar? Maybe I had a bad bunch but they tore too easily. BTW , my Sitty and Jiddo were from Zahle. [tore easily after rinsing and while rolling] . Thank you, Habiti .
@mahaslebanesecuisine5 күн бұрын
Hi! I love Zahle It’s such a beautiful place. Yes I’ve had the same experience with Orlando. You just have to be very careful when you first open the jar. Remove one bunch at a time by slowly wiggling it in the jar while removing it.

Could this recipe be made with beef and lamb meat as well? I remember making it with ground beef a long ago. I like your recipe, I want to make it with meat but I want to be sure.
@mahaslebanesecuisine5 күн бұрын
Yes, you can use ground beef or lamb inside of the grape leaves. You could also use chunks of lamb and beef at the bottom of the pot before you stack the grape leaves on top.
