Not to be technical but if it were EXACTLY 2 hours, that means it would be 120 minutes. That means in seconds it would be 7200 seconds. That also means that jaiden would have to describe each apple in under a second.

I have been looking for Pacific Rose apples for four years because of this video. I saw this near when it came out and was like, "wow, I need to try those!" And I still havent. I never looked very hard but every time I'm in a grocery store I frantically look through all of the apples to see if there are any Pacific Rose. I hope someday Jaiden gets to go to an apple tasting. In Portland OR, during apple season the nurseries will put on apple tastings where you can go around and try hundreds of kinds of apples! It is literally the coolest thing. Right next to picking your own strawberries in fields with dozens of kinds of strawberries! The ones that are too fragile to ship around to grocery stores are some of THE BEST things I've ever tasted in my life!!!

A fun thing I learned about apples last year… a friend of mine opened a hard cider bar and it was called Scion Cider which I wasn’t totally onboard with because I only knew the definition of ‘scion’ as one’s offspring etc…. Plus ‘Scion Cider’ doesn’t quite roll off the tongue easily -especially if you’re a bit tipsy from indulging in too many hard ciders- and I would literally have to spell their name out for anyone I was talking to about my friend’s new cider bar. So the definition didn’t make sense to me and sonically I had some misgivings about it since it’s kind of hard to generate word of mouth if your mouth turns to mush just trying to say it. HOWEVER, this serendipitously led to new knowledge! Upon further investigation, it turns out that the word scion is also used when talking about a branch of an apple tree that is pruned and subsequently grafted on to a different species of apple tree thus creating a hybrid offspring apple (such as according to Jaiden the dreaded Rayburn type of apple). Now I rather like the name of my friend’s cider bar and also, 2nd largest cider selection in the country. Go check it out if you’re in Salt Lake City~. Hello! I had a goal to try 100 different types of apples around 2015 (it was ironic at first, but my teacher heard about this and wanted to help so I got to try like 20 types). I couldn't get more types because I live in rural Alaska and shipping any type of fruit or veggie is expensive (how do they make them not spoil?). So, hearing about all these made me so happy! (My favorite apple has been golden delicious - soft and juicy.)

I just want to note my favorite type of apple is Lucy Rose, when me and my mom went to the grocery store we saw a type of apple I’ve never seen before. It was Lucy rose and there was a sign that said the flesh of the apple is red/pink and I was like “Mom we have to try this.” And we did and it tastes and looks sooo good! We also noticed that it had a hint of berry it was so delicious if you ever see a Lucy Rose apple buy because it good :).

Stuff i know about apples: I live in Frankfurt, Germany and there is a forest with many apple trees. Some dude is selling apples on the road near a restaurant i go to often, and there are apple trees next to there (but i cant reach them). These apples are fresh and cheap and taste really good

Braeburn is usually used for pies not eating raw. Pink lady is the name brand used by a certain company- cripps pink is the same apple. Kind of like qtip vs cotton swabs
