I was hoping you'd show them after baking, i'm curious to see how satin/matte they end up looking because i dont remember how shiny baked liquid clay looks. I'm considering using them as a matte sealer.

“How to make liquid polymer clay” is a highly inaccurate title because all you’re doing is using store bought liquid polymer. You’re not making liquid clay, you’re working with it. I was hoping to find how to actually make polymer clay more liquid-like, not how to make liquid clay from liquid clay. 😕

@polinacreations7729
@polinacreations7729 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, Yes, you can use it. Some acrylic paint can provoke the appearance of bubbles in liquid clay. That's why many clay artists recommend using pastels or oil paint instead. I bake my items painted with acrylic - it works fine. I would recommend making samples to be sure it works for you! 🌼😉

Gretel is asking if she can use one of these methods for making "whipped cream" or perhaps piping roses on mini cake. Gretel, I prefer using the Extruder method. You can buy one for $15-$25. Definitely go with a more expensive one. The cheap ones break after 1-2 uses. :)

Hi, the bond is hard! Yes, I can peel it off, however I need to make an effort to do so, and also I have to use a knife/blade to separate it.. So it is durable and there is nothing to worry about!😉👌🏻

Curious about the use of oil paints. Does it leave a residue behind on the clay post baking? Also, have you experimented with oil pastels in coloring your clay? I've tried with a few things and it's been a mixed bag but with good results when it works well. Also do you use molds for the doughnuts or shape by hand? Thanks for making this video!!
@polinacreations7729

Hi, I use 'Winsor & Newton' oil paint and other chipper brands, it doesn't leave a residue. It works great!👌🏻 Unfortunately, I haven't experimented with oil pastels... I don't use molds for donuts, I shape them by hand 😉🌷Thank you for watching!

Can you use white glue and acrylic paint instead of sculpy liquid regular clay?
@polinacreations7729
@polinacreations7729 4 жыл бұрын
I heard that people make it that way but I never tried it myself. I mixed regular clay with baby oil and it turned out well!👌🏻 I would not recommend to use yellow oil (sunflower/olive oil etc.) because your baked liquid clay can became more yellowish over time..😒
@aspirecan4829
@aspirecan4829 2 жыл бұрын
I have seen liquid sculpey clay. Is this similar? Could you use it like that? For instance, I saw where the liquid sculpey was used to make static window clings. Would this concept work for that as well? I imagine it would be much cheaper to make your own colors, and you could certainly come up with far more colors than there are liquid sculpey colors. Thank you!
@dbseamz
@dbseamz 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, in fact the clear/colorless liquid sculpey is what she's using as a base for these recipes. So all you would need to buy is that and a set of pastels (or clay colors, or oil paints), and you can make custom colors!
@polinacreations7729
@polinacreations7729 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply!🌷 @RosieJohnson is right! Mixing clear liquid clay with pastels/oil paint/powders gives you many more different colors, and it is much chipper! Craft stores have a small selection of liquid clay colors. You can create your own! 😀👍🏻 Another situation: for example, you need a very specific color (let's say neon pink) for a single project. You know you will not use it in the future anymore. If you buy it in your local store or online, you will spend $10-15 for a bottle. You used this bottle once, and it stays on your shelf for ages! Or, mix liquid clay (FIMO, Sculpey, etc.) with a small piece of neon pink clay or pastel, etc., and voila! You have this color as much as you need and cheap! 😉👌🏻
