Great! I will definitely use the decals on my C3 mack, but i will print the Cars 1 decals just in case. I’ve also made a couple of custom decals for Mattel’s haulers, those being Dale’s (which I don’t have a spare hauler for) and the Original 2006 Wally hauler decals based both on the prototype and the commercial (which i will use when i do my review on it). They didn’t turned out perfect as the angle spot is a little off, but i will fix that on the template i used later.

Cool, good luck! I've made the old Wally too as well as Junior's hauler, both of which have been since been dismantled but there are templates for Junior's hauler on the old forums if you'd like to avoid making them yourself next time. :)

Just got a mattel mack, any tips on how to remove that annoying air compressor and toolbox? i’ve tried to remove it but i don’t want to damage the interior too much. Would be great to hear a response soon, awesome video btw!

I used pliers by grabbing the top and yanking it out or by the bottom loosening up the joints it's held in by. I recommend the utmost of safety when using pliers, you gotta be cautious. Also you might want to protect your eyes because the piece could go flying I strongly suggest. Thanks for watching!

Great tutorial! are you going to do one on how to upgrade McQueen's Wheels with the sticker and yellow outline on the rim?

Thank you! I have no plan to, but it's easy. I just used sticker paper for my printer and cut the stickers out very carefully and stuck them on. The wheels are tricky with paint, so it may be best to use Hudson Hornet Piston Cup McQueen wheels, specifically from the new Easter one they did last year since it's the easiest to get which is what I do now.

@@TheCarsShifter Did you recreate the motion doctor sticker digitally yourself or find one online? Seems hard to come by so i may end up re-creating it or maybe even crop it out of the film. Also, I believe there is only one sticker on each wheel, correct? Kudos to you if you recreated or cropped it out.

Thank you! If you don't want to destroy it, I'd recommend loosening the base with pliers, you know the two little pegs that hold it in. Just twist them repeatedly and see if they loosen up, but be very careful or have supervision. Thanks for watching!

I only do it to select characters, but yes, I agree that every diecast should have that as they do in the movie. I just don't want to do anything I'll regret in years to come. It's best to have extras, but often I am willing to make the sacrifice.

Yes, it's very upsetting that Mattel had such inaccurate molds in 2006 they never bothered to go back and correct we have been stuck with for years, as well as mouth plates, eye plates, over scaled cars, under scaled cars and a whole bunch of other stuff that has ruined the accuracy over the years. I doubt we will get another Apple racer ever again, but as much as I like the original being so exclusive, I am tired of it and would agree that they just need to do the Cars 3 ones at this point, especially considering it has been done by other brands like Tomica or the Disney Store.
