haha i think that all comes down to the drum libraries you use! (+ the compressor attack time). What drums do you use?

@@mtchlrtoo I have superior drummer3 and I use stockholm library (I would use the sd3 core library but u know... cant find it haha)

What you gotta do is make sure the instruments drown out the vocals

@@trashboatkitten4270 hahah exactly. Setup a vocal mic in a reflective room, press record, run across the room, scream like your parents are divorcing, throw it into your DAW, make sure the words are kind of unintelligible, boom: midwest emo

The chords for the most part are just one note chords. I'm tuned to FACGCE, so struming the guitar with no chord is an F. Place your pointer finger on any fret on the top string to mess around in the Key of C. 0 Fret, 2nd Fret, 4th, 6th, 7th.
