Thank you for your compliment and upvotes yet, like the 2 comments above me said. This is more than the director and us expected. If you read the director's interview you'll see. It's like you targeted at 10 yet it turn out to be 11. Of cause if the film earn any award it would be more than that. However if it's not, that fine with us.

I remember the day when no one wants to take care of my grandmother (it was year 2017-18), she hates me a lot and I was the only one who took care of her at the hospital. My uncle told my grandmother that she should be nice to me because all of her grandkids doesn't want to take care of her 24/7 at the hospital, it was just me who approved. After that day, she didn't even said a word to me. I love my grandmother so much even though I am the least favorite of all. I love her because she's the only one who understands me. Just watched it and cried a lot. It’s exactly like my grandmother, who loves my dad and my uncle so much, always looking out for them no matter where they go. My aunts always took care of her but were treated as invisible. Towards the end of her life, when she was living and when she passed away, it was my fifth aunt who took care of everything, without any sign of the sons. It’s exactly like how the family assets are passed on to the sons while the burdens like cancer are passed on to the daughters

Please love them before they're gone , they really need it. If they could they would also not like to be sick or smelly anymore. Please try to see it through a more humane perspective, were all going to get old if we live for that long and if we do then we'll realised what they went through. Theyre so beautiful and full of wisdom. I sit here with my grandma laughing telling stories and having fun. Even their voice is calming ❤. Always remember they were like you before .

Didn't cry at all. With this kind of family and life, indeed she was better off dead and freed Also it was entirely her fault for her lack of communication, which technically is a prob found with every Asian Chinese out there: very poor communication. Relationships are soured and ruined because everyone cares more about keeping it in and pretending to be straight and fine It's sad. And I don't doubt the generic mass are only here to "cry at a tearjerker" movie instead of taking lessons away from this and start reflecting on their own very flawed culture and way of living
@concernedcitizens41104 ай бұрын
@@powerfulberry237Exactly most of Asian family cultures are lack of communication, toxic relationships and lack of liberal values. A heartfelt thank you to the director, scriptwriter, and everyone involved in this film. The story profoundly resonates with our society today. It captures the essence of Gen Z's pursuit of instant success and recognition without effort, while Gen X often gauges success by the wealth they've amassed. The sacrifices parents make, often dismissed as mere bedtime tales, are given a fresh perspective in this movie. It beautifully teaches that love and personal experiences are the best lessons, and these lessons need to be imparted consistently over time to truly understand what matters in life. ❤ Everyone should watch this. High recommended. I used up two packs of tissues

Love this. Would also like to add the Boomer generation's ability to persevere and love unconditionally despite the traumas and struggles of their past and even their present -- as we have seen with Grandma in the film. She's an advocate of tough love, but we see moments of her gentleness, her honest care for the children that came after her. It's a beautiful representation of multi-generational families and all the struggles that we go through. At the end, it always circles back to our interpretation of familial love. This film reminded me of myself, my mom, and my late grandma. It's such a tearjerker. :(

It’s nice they add some Teochew dialect words. Which reflects the Thai Chinese community in Thailand, especially in Bangkok. The Cantonese, Hainan, Hakka and Hokkien also contributed to Thailand as well. Pad See Yew, Cha Siu, Roasted Pork (crispy skin pork), Roasted duck, Siu Mai were brought to Thailand by Cantonese. Many big businesses in Thailand were Hainan, Hakka and Teochew.

In my opinion, finding job is like fish on the sea, you can find it even it might looks hard but its still possible to get another everytime. But 'Time' They never wait, it's keep moving foward. You may think like you can do this or do that later but time never waits. . You may regret because leave your job someday. But you may regret for your entire life if you dont cherish the time you had with someone you loved. Especially who grows with you. . . Abt money and work, I think taking care your family will bring you luck in many form. Atleast that what I experience right now, I dont have a job since graduate because I cannot leave my granma alone at house theres one day I was thinking 'I also want to live my life'. But to think abt my granma are not really close with her child make me think abt it again. Her clostest family member was me and so does vice versa. And now after 2 years of struggle for looking a job now I have remote job and I also even buy a new house in nearby area. I feel like everything does happen for a reason. This is may because I reallly taking care lf my granma so I can earn and manage my money so well. Dont be afraid if you lose your chance by leaving your job for the loved one, the one who trully loved you always bring so alot of luck in many form. Add on information: I dont get my remote work by finding it, it just come at me by its own.

I lost my parents just the last years and they left me most of what little they had with the same idea...but the most valuable thing that I got with my relationship with them is my own self understanding which I have applied well on my way to a good life. We as parents do not know everything, we all struggle..What is important to leave to your children is their understanding of themselves and do the best they can with what they understand.

I found out this movie when my friend told me in a group chat before. Way back at the end of May's after couple of days my Grandfather's funeral on Sunday, May 20th. My friend had told me that this movie will bring tears and sadly I didn't have the chance to watch in the cinema due to lack of time to go to Funeral Home. And now every time when I hear or see this movie, will always remind me of my Grandpa's pass. Love you, Grandpa for taking care of my mother and her sisters brothers ever since. My grandma surely sad when that tragic happened and till now she's still thinks about him, as well as my other family members. This month, May of this year, has given me lots of impact and loveable memories throughout those days and may swear on oath to the Almighty God that every things that we do for the future is for goods and can serve our families well. I can't wait for this movie to be released on digital streaming, I can tell that this movie's worth to watch it due to emotional and daily life events. 😢🙏
