@@saverobahael same here as well (although I started to come back to guitar a couple years ago, I did have a very long break). I also initially picked up guitar back in the day to learn Chili Peppers’ songs, so I’m very much new to learning modern metal. Keyan is a huge inspiration with these big chords and bouncy riffs! Glad he’s using Riff Hard and studying John Browne’s work… that’s where I’m focusing my energy these days and seeing incremental improvements and small wins every day. Good luck getting back into it! The journey is so much fun!

every single modern metal riff i hear in my ears is just derived from Pale Aura. Definitely not a bad thing, but it just comes to show how people like Mark set trends and these them don’t change. Great vid :)

I ran into you on a post regarding baritones. Looked you up and I’m glad I did. There’s a lot of us 40 something-year-old‘s that grew up playing Metallica and Slayer and Black Sabbath that got stuck playing power chords for creating riffs. This was good for me. On the guitar it's an EQ that cuts off all the low and high end, the woosh is just a cymbal hit but reversed
