Great job, Matt. When I first got my property, I thought I would never want cattle on it because I wanted it to be as "natural" as possible with native grasses and forbs. Part of that reasoning is seeing all of the pastures heavily overgrazed in my area and knowing that there is nothing out there for the deer, quail, or turkey. Listening to the podcast has totally changed my perspective. Being in northern Oklahoma, my property was historically a prairie roamed by bison. I see some cattle roaming my place in the near future. Keep up the good work, guys.

Never imagined cattle not only coexisting, but having a symbiotic relationship with each other.

How often do you rotate the cattle? Could you give me some numbers for reference? Very interesting habitat improvement strategy.

Are you suggesting that you keep on moving them from pasture to pasture once they've been there a little while

Correct. Replicating the historical bison herds

I have mixed feelings about cattle. Cattle density needs to be addressed. Non native grasses really do nothing for wildlife. Maybe native WSG lands could work. Lots to think about before I would consider it.

Dennis Pawlowski most people have really bad feeling about cattle because of past experience. Including ourselves but! Some of the best farms we’ve been on for having diverse plants and wildlife, large deer, quail numbers, and make money to pay for the farm have cattle. Once you experience a farm like that you want to have it.

@@Landandlegacytube you know I have been watching videos on multiple species cover crops for crop and grazing. That is a valuable option for both wildlife and cattle. We have been farming wrong for generation's
