There is only one rule for getting in to any business as a dealer, you have to start buying and selling. Only 1 thing will give you accurate information and that is actual trading experience with you own money. You make good choices and some bad ones but as long as you keep at it you will grow. Internet knowledge is false information, only real experience counts.

Thanks Eric. I don't have a lot of money to spend, but I'm scouring the web trying to get as much information as possible. I'm trying to understand the brands, the calibers, their history and the people who make them. I have an advantage of being able to read French and German, so that opens up new worlds of information. I also have some experience working with metal and with enamel. But I don't have a lot of money to spend. So far, I've looked at getting some cheap watches and disassembling them to understand better. Knowledge and community and persistence will have to take the place of money for the time being.

@@pannenkoekspek Is still a personality. The world has leaders and followers. A follower is a personality that as the name tells follows the leaders. There is no lack of personality and neigher are losers since some from followers became leaders. Sometimes theres is a need to follow in order to discover if that following is part of you. In every single video I have watched on KZbin about how a person became wealthy from whatever they were doing, they all start out with an origin story. Poor, middle-class family and then one day I bought a house and a Lamborghini. WTF happened in the middle of the story?! They never tell you how they bought the House/Watch/Lamborghini that got things kicked off. Don't believe me, choose 10 of the top KZbin money-making gurus and watch their story. 9-10 will always skip that part.

Great video. What about customer base? For high end Luxury watches do you need to be where ultra wealthy people live, or do they come to you from all over the US? I suppose the internet is not ideally suited to such a transaction. When people are spending significant amounts of money they want "face to face" and special service. Are most of your customers local? I don't know Miami that well as I live in the UK, but I assume there are a lot of people there with significant disposable incomes. Eric, I called your office today looking to trade/swap a new unworn Rolex Batman with B&P for a used YMII all Stainless. I also wanted to trade my used 2012 Rolex SubC for a DJII. Can you do video on swap trading. Your team members didn’t see this as an opportunity for CRM jewelers to make money. IMHO, I was willing to trade market hot (my watches) items for Market Dogs (less demand YMII and DJII).... the profit is for CRM jewelers to keep. A SubC sells higher and quicker on avg than a two tone DJII. The Batman is in way more demand than a YMII all stainless. If Dealer cost is
