The interest is per annum not per month. So whatever interest you get is divided by 12. For example, if you deposit GHS 1000, the interest is 5℅ p.a. So MTN, will give you... 1000 × 5% = 50 50 ÷ 12 = 4.16 So that's GHS 4.16p a month So kindly educate us well, else you will mislead some people.

For me, I think the interest (5%,6%,7%) is per anum, not monthly, which is very low if you want to consider it as an investment portfolio.
