Great advice... Starting your own business can be very rewarding, do your research first. It may be more losses then success stories in the beginning. Try working with a partner, that way when you might feel a little defeated, they can encourage, and vice versa. Good luck.😊

Your video is really informative. Thank you! I am still relatively new to cricket, but I made so many shirts and decor and other things already. The only reason why I am not a fan of infusible ink on shirts is that the fabric can not be cotton, I don't like wearing non natural materials. But for the decorative pillows it works, but again if someone is ok with non natural material in their pillow cases, I guess it can be used for that as well. I just won't.

For point 4, I agree that researching who would buy the product is key but you don't share any information on how a person would actually go about doing that. I'm familiar with mining FB data for FB ads but have no idea if that is what you are suggesting. Also, Canada Post's shipping rates are so high that I don't see how one could compete when selling tumblers or mugs or sweatshirts or large doormats if doing the fulfilment themselves from within Canada. Do you have any thoughts about that? Thank you.

If I make things and sell to people online, I will have to rent a PO BOX because I won't put down my personal home address on the top left or on the FROM label on the packages. The reason, I don't know who people are and they could stalk my home, knowing where I live. Do you use PO) BOX for that?

@@thediymommy I learned when I got PO BOX in 1996-2002, I only showed my ID. Now Post Office required 2 addresses proof: my ID as oginal requirement plus my bills with address or my lease, then I got PO BOX in 2016 but I got 50% refund. I learned all of that from PO.

This advice is great. Just one problem with you recommending ETSY. It was originally designed for only handmade items. Unfortunately, they now are allowing mass manufacturing conglomerates to join the platform. Although they state in their rules that everything you sell must be handmade by you, they are not shutting down those that are mass producing, therefore, us small businesses that ARE following the rules dont have a snowball's chance to get customers. They have also increased their fees so much that its really a waste of time to sell on their site. If you have other platforms that are honest and actually care about small businesses, by all means - share that information with us.

Here's the lock you bought but we will rent you the key. Just imagine printer software subscription.
