In this video I show how I made these mountain shelves. These are slightly different from a standard triangular shelf. I made these 15.5 inches tall and 13 inches wide. In my case, the top angle is 45 degrees and the bottom angles are 22.5 degrees. If you made all sides in equal lengths 30 degrees would most likely be the angle you're shooting for.
I used old cedar boards ripped to 2" widths. I used the worn outside edges facing out for a barn wood look. I made a template to figure out my angles. If you have an angle finder that would be handy. In my case I cut a wooden template for a visual and to help find my angles on the miter saw.
I then layed out each board and cut to size using my template. I used wood glue and brad nails to secure it together. lastly , I cut a thin piece of partical board to look like an ice cap and secured it with glue and nails as well. After I painted the top it was all done!
