The Bucket Fill at 8:00, you can replace in one go by just clicking and dragging the foreground color (or background color) from your toolbar into the image. That will fill up everything selected with that specific color. Great vid - thanks!

Thank You.!!! That was very helpful. What I've been trying to grasp was the various shades, from creating them to organizing them registering placement and finally size and printing. You nailed it for me. Very grateful to you for sharing your knowledge. Your awesome & more

I know this was made a few years ago BUT did you make a new transparent layer each time you did the outlines of each layer "to save ink"? I wish you hadn't fast forwarded through that part, that's the thing that I think is most important , at least it is to me. :) Please clarify this for me. Thank you

Many thanks for your video and the advice to use posteRazor. I downloaded posteRazor and it worked, I’m only after A4 prints but I’m pleased.

Any tips if the picture is darker
@LeonaRyderArt6 жыл бұрын
Yes. Sometimes you might have to do it section by section and adjusting contrast levels to make a certain part pop out the way you want. I don't know if you know anything about photography, but if you try to take a photo of the moon with stars in the background, the exposure makes the moon too bright. But if you turn the exposure down, you lose the stars. So in these cases you take the photos with different exposures and edit them together. I hope that makes sense? Let me know if you have any other questions or more questions about darker pictures.

I wish you would have shown all layers slowly for those like myself who are STRUGLING with the concept. lol I have a Silhouette cutting machine that im trying to use to make multi layered stencils with and man am I having a hard time. My version of Gimp is the latest. When I printed what was in my work space it printed a thumb nail much to my surprise. I have through these tutorials found the export and file type boxes. lol SO I solved one problem but it wants to keep saving the same name not recognizing that I renamed all layers? So im having to save in several places so it doesn't over write the layer before it, then re-name then make a folder and put them in it! Sheesh, im tired just typing the process. Please, please show us how to do each layer, SLOWLY, like you did (your process was different then the others) and show us how to export into one file with the thing remaining the size I started with. OH and how do you line all the layers up without using some type of registration makes, I will need registration marks because im laying each layer over a painting I have done. I want some of that painting to show through, like in the center of a turtle shell with outlines in browns and tans and my painting as the multi color centers and outer ring? It's ambitious I know and im using removable vinyl so covering the painted sections are not an issue. How to achieve it, YES that's an issue to be sure. Yes, I need help, lots and lots of help! I have been at this for literally Months and 6 or so hours each day. Trying to do this and get it into my Silhouette for cutting. It's really a pathetic site to behold! :) Take pity on me. LOL thanks

Very good video ,I could do without the background music _ it is like playing a tv show on top of your video ! Meaning it makes no sense to add in extra noise while trying to hear and learn. LOL Stencil out that white noise. Really good information and right to the point.

I tried to watch this longer, but the thumping was just too annoying. Music should be unobtrusive in a video. I think your video is good, but you have to keep from driving your audience away. My best guess is that your average view length would be longer and your bounce rate would be lower if you paid more attention to that.
