I think the price of making a claim should be cheaper again, because I know it is supposed to force new players to join a new town instead of just making a squatter claim, but it doesn't really seem like it would work because if new players really want to make a claim they'll just go mining or something. Also, if you just talk to the squatters, in most cases they just agree to validate their claim with the government, and/or disband it and join another claim.

Note to new people joining Rathnir and Eldham, best not create your own new claim. (Aka trying to make a new nation/town) Because all the land on those two worlds are claimed by another nation. And if you try to create a new claim, depending on the nation you might have war threatened. My advice is try to find a town instead, or find a nation through nation ad verts. Glad somebody mentioned it. It is really really annoying to see a new person ignoring all your historical territories and just building a two chunk base somewhere. Besides that it is actually highly profitable to join an established community early game since they mostly have starting gear and money making opportunities as well as farms at least my nation the USSE does. And as Stoney said in the video you want to get to know other players before building your own empire.

Building your own land or living on the sea floor is also an option. It's way more difficult but in my opinion it would be pretty awesome to build a marine civilization.

3:32 For new players, to be clear, this does not mean you own the land. In game mechanics sure, but it's not recognized as you being the sovereign owner. When people say all land is claimed. They are not talking in game mechanical claims, they mean political and regional boundaries, areas recognized as belonging to a specific nation. So doing this will either lead to 3 things, integration/annexation of your town, deleting the town and joining the nation who's backyard you put your hobo tent it, or being warred to oblivion.

Gotta admit, Stoneworks presents such an amazing community that gives people the opportunity to create their own stories. I never had one goal when I started, but eventually my travels lead to the creation of my Imperius Pawn Shop, Auction House, and later the creation of one of Eldham's most powerful empires - Velerin. Friends and relationships are what carried it so far.

The boss drops aren't 100% legendary it depends on the damage, if you deal a decent size amount you will get some loot otherwise you get nothing (I've tried it and go nothing)

My only hesitancy for playing the server, because it is all I've wanted out of a MC server, is that in order to grow and gain reputation and ascend in some way, you have to probably play a lot. But for me with my job and other things I do, I don't know how I could put the time in to be able to accomplish any of these types of things

as a dude that has been playin g for 3 months, don't worry about putting tons of time in, just get on when you can, find a nation makes some friends, and play when you can play, you'll eventually have a reputation, and have some close allies and friends and may eventually be able to build a new town in a nation, or even become the leader of one, in 3 months on rathnir, I have went from being a humble fisherman with a decent wallet, to solving a nation's civil war and being recognized as it's king by most(Albeit that there's still a small faction of players that want to overthrow me)

It's really sad that the whole map is already claimed by random people, it was extremely hard to find a quiet place to build my house, and even then it was only a few hundred blocks from a massive town. I feel like the map could be bigger to accommodate the number of players this community has, and also a change to the rules regarding destroying the landscape would be great. The actual server has a totally different feel than what I get from videos, which are all very good and fun to watch

Well you are probably squatting. If you just built your house, what they mean by everything is owned. Even the wilderness is owned and recognized property of a nation. So sooner or later, someone's going to tell you leave or get warred.

I understand what you're saying, and here's the way I see it. Just like irl in our lifetime we were born to a world already mostly uncovered. On the server it's the same, you're born into a world where 1000s of years of history has already happened. Stoneworks is a world building/rp world and this is just the current state of its world building. So yeah, I get what you're meaning but there's many other ways to enjoy the server. Hope you find something you like on the server, but if not. Probably good because Stoneworks can be an addiction xD.

Make friends with other mercenaries, practice your pvp skills on other servers, and make sure to talk about the war meta / look over old war footage *a lot*.

Legit just be good at pvp and help your nation in some wars. Thereby you will automatically get connections and get better integrated into the pvp community of the server. If you wanna practice pvp I can recommend training on your own but also in huge party fights like my nation the USSE does them regularly. It’s a cool way to practice as a team and get better on the chaotic battlefield
