Mia Chapman I'm happy that you found this recipe. I totally understand where you're coming from. There's maybe one other recipe similar to this one on youtube and she's a New Orleans native like we are. Don't be fooled by imitators. Glad that I will be apart of your Thanksgiving dinner this year! Let me know the results when you're done!

Hi Charlie! I love watching your videos because as a New Orleans native also, we cook so much the same. I prepare my peppers ALMOST the same as you. The difference is I use Jimmy Dean pork sausage instead of ground beef. The beef is a little to coarse for my liking. I also add the crab meat all the time. I also turn my boiled peppers upside down to drain when I remove them from the water on a paper towel lined tray until I'm ready to fill them. I love your cooking and the cleanliness in which you do it! Be blessed brother.
@CharlieTheCookAndrews7 жыл бұрын
Wow cool! I've heard someone else say they use the pork sausage in their peppers. I know for me I only use the ground beef. I'm sure that it is good. Thanks so much for the compliments my fellow Nola native!

Hello Everyone! I forgot to mention in this video that you can also bake your stuffed bell peppers. You can place them into a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes!
@MsLady-cu2kc8 жыл бұрын
Yes!!! I was wondering...lol. As I viewed your vid, I recall my mom placing them in the oven to bake as well. I'm so glad you mentioned it! Thank you so much!

smokey kool-aid What's up with people with this shrimp turning rubbery stuff lol I've never experienced that in my life. The shrimp will not turn rubbery if you put it in the oven for 30 minutes. Hope this helps!
@CharlieTheCookAndrews7 жыл бұрын
smokey kool-aid Never had a rubbery shrimp in my life i tell you no lie. I really think it depends on how you are cooking the shrimp. lol

Charlie, I love this recipe. It is just the way my grandmother used to make them only better. I never got a chance to write it down before she passed away and I never thought I would be able to figure out how she did it. Thanks so much! I have a request. Can you please do a crab stew video?
@CharlieTheCookAndrews9 жыл бұрын

naturestonecreations Charlie I to am a native New Oleanian! This recipe is almost exactly the way my grandmother, mom and I make ours with one exception. instead of ground beef we use Jimmy Dean regular pork sausage, shimp and claw crab meat (lump tends to be to dry). they come w ondserful. try it!
