Great presentation! All great ways to weather wood. When I had my store I used most of these ways to weather my counter top. I used nails, chain, hammer, razor blade, burning etc. It came out looking amazing! I love the look!

When I started watching and thought "this is a cool video", and then the nails, hammer, chain, carving tools and fire came out, I chuckled. What a good way to relieve stress, plus make something with character and rustic at the same time...win, win❤❤❤

Ummmmm YOU are AAWESOMMMEEE!!! THE MUSE IS NOW TAPPING ME ON THE SHOULDER!!! I always just hope that the products you use are available here🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 (🇨🇦). I’ll keep you posted. I’m thinking that this (one of) techniques would be fantastic for making a Coffee table that has those large industrial wheels/castors on it. Really simple to make and once those large industrial wheels are on them, it just comes to life! Excellent ideas and techniques I have never seen before! Thank you!!!!❤❤❤❤

Interesting ways of creating totally different looks. I think the darker stain is more effective on the more distressed wood. But all are great depending on what you are trying to achieve.

All great ways to distress wood. Personally I don’t like distressing anything lol. I do prefer the special stain over the dark walnut. I do also like how you did the first bits of wood. Thanks for this video, I did find it very interesting and I did learn things from it Patti.

Do you sand it first and if so what grit? If sand is an option does it change how the “age”-ing process looks after 1-2-3 times?? Thanks and do love when NEW YT’ers pop up in my feed. Good job and love that accent 😉👍🏻 (I'm🇨🇦so every one has an accent to me LOL).❤
@PattiJGood4 ай бұрын
Thank you so much. I do not sand them first. You don't need to until you distress it. I lightly just sand down and raised areas.
