Here I was trying to watch videos on fluid mechanics to make something like your watering thing. I gave up on trying to do math for all that crap and then found this video. What a great functional design. Not only do you not use an obscene number of tools which would cost more than just buying something from the store, but you're also using the few tools that I already have so it's even better!

has anyone tried this with a 55 gallon barrel? would it work the same or be too much pressure and overflow?
@darrenbenham18905 жыл бұрын
How long were the pipes in the waters? What keeps the water from overflowing out the drinking holes? It seems as if the water levels would try to equalize causing the water level to rise over the lip of the holes?
@quailmom18105 жыл бұрын
Darren Benham The small holes where water comes out is lower than the opening where the quail drink

its possible to make a whole in round shape instead of half whole? Please reply me..
@quailmom18105 жыл бұрын
The City Tour I think it is possible, but I feared the quail may step in the water and make the water dirty.

Quail Mom - An alternate title could be “A Girl and her Power Tools!” You amaze me how you just whip out this stuff. “Oh yeah, this week I ....”. So many Quail babies and so cute. I also appreciate it when you let us know which pics are home grown vs. commercial. For example, seeing how big your tilapia got vs. from a commercial fish farm. Seeing that your school garden didn’t looks like a magazine and that sometimes things don’t work out as planned. Inspiring!

The design of the drinker and drinker has practically the same logic as the hopper. BUT I should have at least made a reduction so the 1/2-inch tube had to fit well and avoid waste when turning. The rest is OK! ... I liked the idea of making a pvc half moon to prevent the bird from spilling the liquid!
