Bonus Advice: You should also shade your assets in a way that really makes the asset *feel* as if it has texture and depth; this can be accomplished by using common artistic colour techniques like hue-shifing and colour relativity (but at the same time, also don't go too overboard with bright colours and accessive hue-shifting). Another very important tip (that a LOT of asset creators fail to take into account) is how well your choice of shading actually matches the material & depth of your object - the simplest way to figure this out just basing it from real-life reference imagery.
