Thank you Mike. I'm going to do a flying diorama with the Beacon Models set I reviewed in the last video, but this technique would work just as well for a crashed aircraft.

@@ModelNerd always has been my intention to do it as i have the Ark Royal, Belfast, Hood, Prince of Wales and Invincible all sitting waiting to hit water, just never have the time or the workspace but i will do it, sadly have nowhere near your skill level but will try

Thanks, MN....great to see how this all came together and the result is terrific....a piece of England in miniature! Just goes to show how using everyday items can create something historical....who knew toilet paper could be so versatile :)

This is a nice result and way of making water! Nevertheless, for me, the tinfoil technique is superior because the shape of the waves can be represented more realistically, even in this small scale :)

So, I guess my airfield idea is out of the window? Nevertheless, very nice work! And you were right to correct the colors - the last time I was at the Dover cliffs I didn't see neither a sandy beach, nor turquoise waters - but I may be mistaken, it was in '79 😁

I've decided to mount a model in a picture freame and I'm gonna try tour techniques for this. Probably gonna make a simple tiled airfield with some static grass. Where'd you get the pink foam?
@ModelNerd2 жыл бұрын
The foam was from Amazon, from a seller called ProWarm. They do a variety of thicknesses.

You mean to tell me you can do water effect without 5 gallons of deep pour resin, 15 different water effect products and 5 snow products? 😂 looks good and anyone can do. I also like the aluminum foil method.. I watch this one guy and that’s all he uses and looks more realistic than any resin pour. Looks good mate!

Hi, I was wondering: during the end shots there were a couple spots where it looked like the TP base had peeled up from the edge of the frame. Is this something that tends to happen over time with this method? If so, is there a way to stop or slow it from happening? Thanks! Enjoyed the video!
@ModelNerd11 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching. It probably just dried that way in the first place and I didn't notice it.
