Hi, very well described. I have query regarding Marriage certificate. Is Marriage Certificate different from the Certificate that I have received from Secretary/Panchayat level. ? If Yes, can i do it from myself By Offline process?

Yes, you can take it offline from secretary/panchayat...the format of certificates is different but the validity of both the certificates is equal...generally marriage certificate has of no use...but marriage registration is mandatory and the married lady must be included in the family register of groom...in both cases (online/offline) secretary just enters the newly married's name into the family of groom...online requires a couple of more formalities than offline...

At present, there is no online option for Bachelorhood/Single Status/unmarried Certificate in HP...you need to make affidavit from notary further attested by appropriate authority i.e. SDM/DC...when you would approach to notary for affidavit, you can confirm the supportive documents by asking notary to attach with affidavit and can take format of unmarried certificate...

May be photos are not uploaded properly in terms of file size/type...or website didn't respond to save photos on application...aapka certificate valid hai n you can use it...otherwise you need to apply again with proper photographs...there is no correction option on issued certificate...only apply again...

It depends on the panchayat secretary who approves the online application...marriage registration is required to be done within 30 days and maximum 90 days...it can be approved, if you upload proper documents required to register marriage...but I advice you to consult your concerned area's panchayat secretary to approve it online or offline...

As you see the documents upload section, these documents are not mandatory to upload...only memorandum of marriage is mandatory to upload...

Yes, you need to go to your concerned panchayat and panchayat secretary will issue after adding your name in the family register where you have been married...the online application requires a bit more formalities rather than offline...

No, you don't need to attest from notary, self attestation is enough...yeah, you can apply...this certificate is approved by panchayat secretary/Municipality and online it requires a couple more formalities than offline...it's better to go to panchayat secretary's office for two purposes- first to add the bride's name and aadhaar no. in the family register and ask the secretary about this certificate with basic documentation and you'll get it...

Are you bonafide Himachali? Have you registered in panchayat/municipality? if it's, then you have a family register under Department of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh under which you can add on your family members - son, daughter-in-law & their kids.. As the marriage happened 28 years ago, can't be registered in present date & moreover if the record of your daughter-in-law is updated as W/O of your son on aadhaar/passport/DL and on other records then this certificate has no significance...

If your are married then Yes, you can apply for it... but you need to visit at your panchayat secretary's office to enter your wife's name in your family register and follow the guidelines according to secretary to get marriage certificate...

As the marriage solemnized a couple of years ago...so the online mode requires more formalities than offline...it's better to go to the panchayat secretary's/municipality office of the concerned area to do the registration coz the online application goes to the panchayat secretary for approval...

Applicant is unmarried and does an event to get marry and then socially married...applicant is unmarried and does marriage registration by proving that he married in a social event and then officially married...you can select married/unmarried, it doesn't reflect in certificate...

As your bonafide state is Punjab so you should register your marriage at your concerned place...after marriage the married lady would include in your family register at your permanent residential place...The request for registration goes to panchayat secretary and you're neither a bonafide Himachali nor you have any family register in panchayati raj department...you can meet the panchayat secretary of that area where your spouse belongs to...

Yeah she can apply, but it's better to apply at your address end...after marriage, the address changes with W/O status and the married lady includes in the family register of husband at the concerned panchayat/municipality...your wife needs to take a marriage report from her area's panchayat secretary and you can make it offline at your area's panchayat/municipality office or online at punjab.gov.in/
