This is especially true if the charger is of poor quality or has faulty components. * **Unpredictable Behavior:** Even if the charger doesn't get fried immediately, the short circuit can cause erratic behavior. You might experience issues like inconsistent charging, overheating, or even complete failure of the charger. **Important Note:** There's no benefit to shorting these pins. OTG (On-The-Go) functionality, which allows a device to act as a host, doesn't involve shorting anything. It's achieved through a dedicated OTG cable with the proper internal wiring.
