Hello, Jaspreet. I just wanted to say that I've viewing your youtube series now for over two years. I really liked that you covered things like, how ot manage your money properly and how inflation works and how to invest simply. I also really like that time that you donated a lot of school supplies to a local school that you bought from a local shop. That video was very entertaining and very nice of you. However, I don't think I'll be watching your videos anymore. Please, allow me to explain. See, the title of this vido says it all, 'make $100 a day in dividens'. I think you must have gotten rich recently from your youtube business, because I've noticed that your advice doesn't talk to the poor common man as much as it used to. If I could find a stable investment that had a 10% annual payout (highly unlikely) I'd need $365,000 invested in that one investment. When I find a good paying dividen stock that is stable, the best they usually pay is about 4.5%. So, to make $100 a day in dividens, I'd need about $800,000. Now, that might not seem like a lot of money to someone as successful as you, but the average person is just hoping to have that amount invested and saved for retirement. They are hoping that an entire lifetime of working and saving would just provide them with the amount of money you are saying to make $100 a day on. This doesn't even take into account an emergency cash fund or other obligations and priorities, like taxes and health care costs. I thank you for everything that you taught me, and wish you all the best in the future.
@dashermorgan2 жыл бұрын
Most Americans make $100/day already in a 9-5 job. Now if you say $350 to $400, that's a major difference. I made about 300/day with driving for Lyft (5 to 7 hours of work).

@MichaelIreland2 жыл бұрын
If you're willing to watch the companies and make adjustments to your balance (eg put less in A and more in B), then individual is going to be notably higher return on average. This is mostly due to the lower returns on ETFs. ETFs have reduced returns because they subtract a management fee (less than 0.5% cut usually), plus some of the profit is used to grow the value of the ETF organisation itself. BUT if you like to set-and-forget, then ETFs are _much_ wiser. A reduced dividend is worth the peace of mind.

Thanks for this. I wonder if there would be value in discussing the transferrence of assets in to dividends (say from real estate). Often I hear about how this has to be built up over time but I wonder about someone who has built that up over time but in another way and now wishes to, or is contemplating transferring that wealth in to dividends. The merits, etc. For example I own a townhouse that I rent out and for while it rented out at a nice price, but now the value of the property is such that it may be worth selling and then turning that profit in to dividends. Even with capital gains it looks on paper like it comes close to duplicating the earnings we were receiving through rent, without the added headaches. Plus I believe dividends are taxed more favourably.
