very cool to see, thank you :-) Is this a greek traditional dish? I lived in bologna (italy) for years, and also travelled quite alot in sicily, and this is almost like a combination of the lasagne from the bologna area, and the pasta al forno that you can find in sicily, with some twists added of course. :) it looks very good :-)

It's a early 20th century Greek dish, there was another dish also called Pastitsio in Greece but was a more of a filo wrap with a pasta filling. The Greek chef that invent it made it as homage to Italian, French and Greek cuisine. He named it Pastitsio after the Italian word (pasticcio) meaning layered dish.
